BoxDirect Pro / Find freight or carriers

Find Loads for Small Fleets

Find freight for a small trucking company by matching the actual ready unit to the shipment, not by assuming every truck on the roster is interchangeable. BoxDirect supports direct shipper connections and load-level coordination without promising fleet utilization, dedicated freight or a full-TMS replacement.

Evaluate availability at the truck level

A fleet may have one truck available near a pickup while another is still unloading. Confirm the actual unit's equipment, empty time, loaded capacity and next commitment before accepting. Do not treat the carrier's overall fleet size as proof that a compatible truck can meet an appointment.

Standardize what the dispatch handoff includes

Give the driver the correct load, appointment contacts, cargo requirements and commercial entrance instructions. Keep shipment changes in the load's communication trail. A consistent handoff reduces avoidable clarification, but the platform does not independently confirm every dock instruction or guarantee on-time performance.

Keep carrier-wide systems where they are needed

Use BoxDirect for freight matching and shipment coordination, while retaining the systems your operation needs for accounting, payroll, maintenance, safety and legal driving-hours management. No automatic dispatch optimization, full-TMS replacement or universal integration is claimed. Review each booked load's payout status separately.

Use the load board as an input to a fleet decision

An available listing should enter a dispatch review alongside the unit's current trip, empty time, cargo compatibility and next commitment. For a box truck, verify body and handling limitations. For a dry van, verify the complete combination. Do not assign a load merely because one vehicle location looks close on a map.

BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.

Avoid double-committing a unit across two plausible loads

Compare appointments against unloading completion and actual road repositioning before confirming another trip. A pending offer is not a booked load, but an accepted commitment should not be ignored while searching for a different one. Verify the actual assignment state and authorized carrier workflow before handing the trip to a driver.

Standardize evidence and review at the shipment level

Keep the correct shipment documents, direct messages and receiver details with each movement. A single fleet-level summary should not blur which load is delivered, which needs a problem resolved and which has progressed through payout review. Separate provider transfer status from actual bank receipt.

For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.

Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.

Grow direct relationships without overstating the service

Clear cargo and appointment communication can make the current shipment easier to coordinate. It does not establish a future dedicated contract, repeat volume or a guaranteed rate. Evaluate each new posting on its own requirements and keep the operational systems needed for fleet-wide accounting, maintenance and legal compliance.

Carrier verification refers to BoxDirect's business, insurance and identity-document review and eligibility workflow. It does not guarantee safety, performance, available capacity or coverage for a particular loss. Independent carriers perform transportation; this page does not classify BoxDirect as a motor carrier, freight broker, insurance provider or guarantor.

Account registration & freight pricing

Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.

Frequently asked questions

Is BoxDirect a small-fleet TMS?

No. It is a freight marketplace with shipment coordination. Do not assume it includes carrier-wide accounting, payroll, maintenance or compliance automation.

Can a fleet use both box trucks and 53-foot dry vans?

BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability. Each booked movement still needs an eligible compatible truck or tractor-trailer combination.

Does one available truck mean the whole fleet can accept the same appointment?

No. Verify the particular truck, driver operating plan and next commitment. Fleet-level availability is not a substitute for a load-specific readiness check.

Does BoxDirect provide dedicated freight to small fleets?

No dedicated-contract or recurring-volume guarantee is made. Assess actual listings, eligible booking states and the terms of each supported shipment.

Can a load board automatically decide which fleet truck should run a load?

No automatic dispatch optimization is claimed here. Confirm the specific truck or combination, driver plan, appointments and next commitment through your carrier operation.
