From shipment specification to confirmed assignment
The two parties need a workable shipment and a confirmed booking state, not merely interest in the same rate. The action available in the product depends on the actual load and carrier eligibility.
- The shipper specifies exact facilities, ready time, pickup and delivery windows and the offered freight rate.
- Select supported equipment and Full or Partial deliberately; include packaged dimensions, weight and loading requirements.
- An eligible carrier reviews the whole operating movement and can book or submit an offer through the supported workflow.
- Resolve unclear instructions and review the recorded amount; a message or pending proposal is not a completed booking.
- Verify actual assignment before dispatch, then keep shipment communication, documents and delivery review with that load.
A useful offer starts with complete requirements
Review cargo dimensions and weight, equipment, loading method, appointments and the final receiver approach before proposing a rate. Include deadhead and likely unloading time in the carrier's economics. A proposal made without those facts may not represent a workable truck movement.
Distinguish pending interest from a confirmed trip
Submitting an offer does not by itself mean the carrier has the load. Check the actual booking and assignment state through the supported workflow before dispatching or reallocating equipment. Do not promise that every offer will be accepted or that a listing remains available indefinitely.
Review the amount before accepting
For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.
For the carrier, compare expected net proceeds with the whole operating movement. For the shipper, confirm the shipment and total being booked. A changed conversation, pending offer or proposed rate is not evidence of paid funds or a guaranteed payout.
Account registration & freight pricing
Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.

Frequently asked questions
Can eligible carriers submit an offer?

No. Verify the actual accepted, booking or assignment status in the supported workflow before treating the trip as confirmed.
Is the platform fee added above the posted agreed freight total?
For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.
