How freight delivery review and payout status work

Keep the status of the booked load's payment process visible without confusing delivery, approval, transfer and bank receipt. BoxDirect supports payment-status visibility; it does not promise automatic release, instant settlement or guaranteed payment timing.

Work through the status questions in order

A payment-status label is evidence of a particular step, not all later steps. Check the actual recorded state and the applicable booking terms before telling the other party that money is approved, released or settled.

  • Confirm the load's agreed freight amount and historical terms; do not rewrite an older booking using new-booking calculations.
  • Distinguish the shipper's payment from the carrier allocation and any other applicable deductions.
  • Check delivery evidence and the actual shipper approval or reported-problem state.
  • Confirm administrator payout review separately; delivery approval does not automatically transfer funds.
  • Distinguish a provider transfer to the connected account from money settling at the bank; processing times vary.

Understand the freight amount and the carrier allocation

For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.

The agreed shipper amount is not automatically the carrier's final bank deposit. Other applicable deductions and the actual booking's historical terms matter. Review the amount recorded for the shipment rather than applying a new calculation to an older agreed load.

Delivery approval starts review, not automatic payment

Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.

A shipper reporting a delivery problem is a different state from approval. Do not treat a completed trip, uploaded document or queue entry as proof that an administrator has authorized and executed a payout.

A provider transfer is not the same as bank settlement

Use the recorded status to understand which step has occurred, and distinguish a transfer to the connected payment account from receipt at the bank. Setup issues, review requirements and provider processing can affect progress. No instant payout availability or unconditional settlement deadline is represented by this feature.

Account registration & freight pricing

Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.

Frequently asked questions

Is payout automatic as soon as the shipper approves delivery?

No. Delivery approval queues administrator review and does not automatically transfer money. Reported problems must be resolved through the applicable process.

Does a transfer status prove the money has reached my bank?

No. Transfer and bank settlement are distinct. Check the actual payment account and provider status; bank processing times vary.

Does BoxDirect guarantee instant payment?

No. This feature provides payment-status visibility, not an instant-payment or guaranteed-timing promise. The applicable review and payment terms still control.
