BoxDirect Pro / Guides for your business

Freight for retailers

Arrange supported dry-freight replenishment with a clear plan for the store's receiving access. BoxDirect can connect the shipper with an eligible independent carrier, but a truck booking does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly or store merchandising.

Make the store entrance part of the shipment

A shopping-center address may not identify the receiving door. Provide the commercial access, loading window, height constraints and a contact who can receive the goods. Confirm where the truck can safely wait and whether a 53-foot combination can turn into the service area.

Specify the handling service instead of assuming it

Confirm whether the store has a dock, forklift or agreed ground-level unloading. Any liftgate requirement needs explicit confirmation with the carrier. A box truck is not automatically a white-glove service, and the shipment should not depend on unpromised inside delivery or product assembly.

Coordinate readiness and delivery review

Use direct communication when the store's receiving window changes, and use available tracking as an aid rather than a guaranteed arrival slot. Make a receiving contact responsible for checking the shipment and recording discrepancies so delivery approval reflects the actual handoff.

Supported equipment, review scope and booking economics

BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.

Carrier verification refers to BoxDirect's business, insurance and identity-document review and eligibility workflow. It does not guarantee safety, performance, available capacity or coverage for a particular loss. Independent carriers perform transportation; this page does not classify BoxDirect as a motor carrier, freight broker, insurance provider or guarantor.

For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.

Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.

Account registration & freight pricing

Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.

Frequently asked questions

Does a retail box-truck booking include inside delivery?

No. Inside delivery, assembly and white-glove services are not promised. Confirm the actual supported handling arrangement before booking.

What if my store has no loading dock?

Specify that fact and confirm a workable ground-level unloading arrangement and any required equipment. Do not assume every box truck has a liftgate or that the carrier can unload unaided.

Can tracking guarantee a store receiving slot?

No. Available location updates and ETA help coordination but do not guarantee arrival or dock availability. Keep the receiving contact informed about changes.
