A practical listing-to-decision checklist
Use this sequence before accepting a load. Stop and resolve a missing fact rather than treating a listing's appearance in search as proof of a workable trip.
- Write down the truck's actual empty location and earliest ready time, including unloading from the previous trip.
- Compare the active equipment category with cargo weight, packaged dimensions, door opening and loading equipment.
- Check exact pickup and delivery entrances, time windows and who provides unloading.
- Calculate approach, loaded and likely next-position miles; independently check legal routing and driving time.
- Review the agreed amount and carrier net economics before booking or making an offer.
- Verify the actual assignment state before dispatch; a pending proposal is not a confirmed trip.
Match equipment before comparing headline rates
Review the required truck category together with cargo dimensions, gross weight and loading method. Confirm the actual vehicle's payload and door opening. Equipment filtering narrows the search, but it does not certify every cargo and vehicle combination or resolve missing receiver requirements.
Check the route and appointment as a single decision
Include approach miles, the pickup window, loaded movement, unloading and the next commitment. A nearby listing may still be impossible if the truck is not empty in time or the receiving site cannot unload it. Independently verify legal route and driving-time requirements.
Move from a candidate to a supported booking
Eligible carriers can book or submit an offer using the load workflow. Verify the actual booking and assignment status before dispatching. Matching does not promise a load on every lane, automatically optimize the fleet or replace a carrier TMS.
Account registration & freight pricing
Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.

Frequently asked questions
What equipment can I match on BoxDirect?
BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.
Does matching guarantee a truck or load will be available?
No. Actual listings, timing, carrier eligibility and equipment readiness must be checked. No geographic coverage or volume guarantee is made.
Does BoxDirect calculate the driver's remaining legal hours?
No HOS ingestion or compliance automation is claimed. The carrier must independently assess legal and safe operation.
