Evaluate RXO when looking for freight or transportation services within RXO's offering. Evaluate BoxDirect when you want to post or consider a supported load, communicate with the other party and maintain the booking's shipment information in the marketplace.

BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.

Product-fit tradeoffs, not a universal winner

The possible tradeoff is the operating model and service scope. A shipper wanting outsourced logistics management should verify the relevant RXO service instead of expecting BoxDirect's direct marketplace to perform that work. No inference about rates or service failures follows from this difference.

How to compare a real shipment

For a replenishment lane, compare the named contracting parties, pickup requirements, exception contacts and delivery evidence. Check current RXO product and corporate information directly; brand ownership or service packaging should not be assumed from older comparisons.

Understand BoxDirect's fee and payout process

For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.

Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.
