Shared truckload is more than a partial-load label
Evaluate Flock Freight when you want its shared-truckload service model. Evaluate BoxDirect when you want to arrange a supported shipment directly with an eligible carrier and agree on the actual cargo, capacity and schedule.
BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.
Product-fit tradeoffs, not a universal winner
A possible fit tradeoff is an arranged shared-truckload service versus a direct marketplace agreement about available truck space. Do not assume a Partial label creates automated consolidation, a particular stop sequence or dedicated-truck handling.
How to compare a real shipment
For several pallets that do not fill a trailer, specify stackability, usable dimensions, weight and delivery tolerance. Ask how sharing space affects handling and timing under the actual booking. Compare that agreement with Flock's specific service terms.
Understand BoxDirect's fee and payout process
For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.
Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.
Competitor prices, plans and service terms must be checked with the provider. No competitor price, load-volume claim, review score or service guarantee is assumed in this comparison.
Account registration & freight pricing
Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.
