Keep multimodal planning distinct from one freight booking
An organization coordinating several transport modes or a broader logistics relationship should examine C.H. Robinson's services and Navisphere. For a supported dry-freight movement, BoxDirect offers a direct carrier connection with load-level booking, communication and delivery information.
BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.
Product-fit tradeoffs, not a universal winner
A possible fit tradeoff is enterprise logistics scope versus a focused direct transaction. BoxDirect does not claim global multimodal orchestration, customs management or a full enterprise transportation system. Nor does this comparison imply those capabilities are necessary for every shipment.
How to compare a real shipment
Separate domestic road legs from other transport requirements in your shipping process. If the road leg can be booked independently, compare carrier suitability, appointment coordination and documentation. Keep any ocean, air or customs work with an appropriate provider.
Understand BoxDirect's fee and payout process
For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.
Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.
Competitor prices, plans and service terms must be checked with the provider. No competitor price, load-volume claim, review score or service guarantee is assumed in this comparison.
Account registration & freight pricing
Account registration costs $0 USD. Freight rates vary by load, and displayed transportation and payment terms apply. The $0 offer is for account creation only; it does not mean free transportation or no platform fees.
