BoxDirect supports enclosed box/straight trucks in its active 16-, 20-, 24- and 26-foot categories, plus 53-foot dry vans. This does not mean every straight-truck body or service is supported. Confirm the assigned vehicle's dimensions, payload and loading equipment; a size label alone does not establish suitability.
Product-fit tradeoffs, not a universal winner
The possible fit tradeoff is a transportation-service relationship versus direct coordination of a particular move. A pallet shipment that needs a conventional terminal-based LTL network should not be assumed equivalent to a BoxDirect partial load. Handling and service commitments need individual confirmation.
How to compare a real shipment
For a shipment smaller than a trailer, document whether it can share space, whether intermediate handling is acceptable and what pickup window is necessary. Compare actual service terms, not just pallet count, before choosing a full or partial marketplace booking.
Understand BoxDirect's fee and payout process
For new bookings, BoxDirect's 10% platform fee is included in the agreed freight amount and deducted before the carrier payout, not added on top of the shipper's booked price. A $1,000 freight booking allocates $100 to the platform and $900 to the carrier before other applicable deductions. Historical bookings retain their agreed totals.
Shipper payment, delivery approval, administrator payout review and bank settlement are separate steps. Delivery approval does not automatically release money. Reported problems require administrative resolution, and bank processing times vary.
